The Gowalla app is an app that allows you to check into different places as you visit them. For example, if you happen to be eating at a Denny's somewhere you can check in and find items and see who else has checked in at that location. If it has not been made yet you can proudly create the location for all to see that you were the first their. It is a pretty fun game especially if you like to go out and travel a lot. As you go along you can collect items and when you go to the official Gowalla website you can put your favorite items in the vault. It is rumored that some of the items you find can be redeemed for actual goods. I have yet to stumble upon any but you never know you could be the lucky one.
